ROC EV Updates

What is ROC EV?
The Rochester Electric Vehicle Accelerator (ROC EV), administered by the Electrification Coalition (EC) in partnership with The City of Rochester, Genesee Region Clean Cities, and Energetics Incorporated, is an innovative, community-wide initiative aimed at achieving widespread deployment of plug-in electric vehicles (EVs). This project is supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) as part of the Charge NY initiative. ROC EV partners are working with public and private sector leaders to facilitate the necessary infrastructure, educational outreach, coordination, and commitment from local businesses to transform greater Rochester into a model electric vehicle accelerator community.

National Drive Electric Week Recap

This year marked the 6th annual National Drive Electric Week celebration in Rochester! Thanks to perfect weather and a great crowd of EV Enthusiasts, we had 55 electric vehicles take part in the car show and more than 80 attendees took test drives! Our friends from Bob Johnson Chevrolet, BMW of Rochester, Dorschel Nissan, Kia, and Toyota provided us with a wide range of models to test drive.

Special thanks to Genesee Region Clean Cities, the New York State Electric Auto Association (NYSEAA), and Rochester Institute of Technology for helping us to put on a great event!
